Important information about Trollstigen trips

Trollstigen summer season 2025

Hello dear guest

We have been driving our trip to Trollstigen for 13 years now.
The opening date for Trollstigen has been different all these years.
Depending on the snow and danger of avalanges in the area.

Summer season 2024
In the summer season 2024, Trollstigen was open only 3 days in June.
Stones were falling down on the road.
So, they decided to close the road for the rest of the season due to safety.
But, we were going to Trollstigen every day via the village Valldal.
This is a very safe part of Trollstigen.
And our guests could see Trollstigen from the famous viewpoints on the top.

Summer season 2025
Our plan for the summer season 2025 is like this :

A) From 01th of May
From 01'th of May 2025 we will go to the famous Norangsdalen instead of Trollstigen, 
same as we did in 2024 season.
Click on the link in Norangsdalen above for more details of that alternative trip.

B) From a certain date in May
From a certain date in May (we don't know the exact date yet) 
we will go to Trollstigen via Valldal and return back again the same way (via Valldal).
And our guests will see Trollstigen from the famous viewpoints on the top of Trollstigen.
Cafeteria and restrooms will be available at Trollstigen from this certain date.

C) From Monday 14th of July 2025
From Monday 14th of July 2025, Trollstigen will be open again, full trip, as normal.
Meaning, we will go the normal Trollstigen round-trip again.
Normally, Trollstigen closes for the season in the end of October.
Depending on the weather conditions in the mountains.


Our alternative trips
If you want to go with us on our alternative trip (A or B above) your ticket will be
valid for the alternative trip automatic.  No changes needed.  Easy.


Change tickets
If you want to change or cancel your tickets because of this situation, you are free to do
so.  Of course.  Tickets may be changed up to 24 hours before your scheduled departure
on our trip.  Then you will be refunded 100 %
Please do your changes or cancellations on Viator or TripAdvisor where you made your
original reservation.


Finally
Localtrips will always give you the best trip available.
Both alternative A) and B) above are very good alternatives.
